Photography brings me closer to nature and a deeper understanding of self. Being outside with your feet on the earth one can feel the connection to the natural world. We’ve separated ourselves from nature and lost that comforting connection. We are not separate from nature but a part of it.

Beekeeping also requires you reconnect with the natural world. It helps you slow down and appreciate the wonders all around you.

I am currently working on a writing project which is fully challenging my research skills. I love researching ancestry and family stories. I have a wonderful travel journal from 100 years ago, just after the last major pandemic. The research for a book based on this journal has brought much fascinating and unexpected history of the family and has consumed many hours and should be not only a beautiful story of a roadtrip in a 1916 Studebaker, with photos, but also the story of an amazing family with ties to early America and the privileged life of Brooklyn society in the early 1900’s.
